About Us

Located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, about an hour east of Melbourne in Victoria, Moroka Walers are breeders of a small number of quality horses. Our equine pursuit is trail riding and packhorsing and so our horses are bred to suit these tasks., although this doesnt limit what they may be used for.

Our walers

Moroka Walers  range between 14 to 15hh, soild boned, short in the back, they are barefoot form birth and we ride all of our horses bitless, they are good do,ers .The stations that their bloodlines come from include Jinka,Narilico Garden and Clayton

The Waler horse is now competing and being used in many equine pursuits from Endurance, Dressage and Showjumping

 Moroka, aboriginal word for valley in the sky, The moroka area is  in the lower southern section of the alpine national park, in gippsland Victoria,the moroka hut, these days a refuge for walkers and visitors was built by Andy Estoppey and Bill Gillio in 1946 when they ran their cattle up their in the summer on the lush alpine plains, one of the first huts i saw as a young bloke, the area has fond memories for riding , trout fishing ,camping and bush walking, just a beautiful place to visit,
